As part of preparing myself for a new computer, I have been getting files cleaned up, better organized, and transferred to external storage to make it quicker and easier to get up and running once it does arrive.
I might not really make digital photos any longer, but I have tens of thousands of them in folders, only partially organized and many now without their EXIF tags (likely an artifact of the way I had exported them from iCloud in 2024).
While browsing through a folder of photos I had made with my iPhone 8 (long since replaced and serves as my lab timer for film development), I came across the photo above and was filled with a mixture of feelings.
