Excited for Montréal!

Since this is Charlotte's Blog ♥ and not Lottie's Tales of Woe, I must also share that we are excited for Montréal!

Like, sure, the surgery is the main event (I. Cannot. Wait.) and things related to it are how I will be spending 7½ of the 10 days that we're there, but there are so many things we are looking to to do while we're there!

Sort of like a mini vacation.

It's almost like we planned it that way...

I am sure that Kathleen will also be writing about her time there at The Heavy Pen, so I will focus on my little list of things-to-be-done during the first three days.

  1. Make photos! It shouldn't be surprising that this is the first thing on my the list, since I make so many photos and, really, can't stop (won't stop). What I would love is to have built up a small collection of rolls that I can develop once I am able to stand over the sink and do so. Naturally, this will also mean that I will stop in at Studio Argentique for the first time after a few years of ordering from them online.
  2. Vegan food! Montréal is positively filled with vegan restaurants and restaurants with good vegan options. We've got ourselves a pretty lengthy list of restaurants, cafés, donut places, ice cream places... all sorts of places that really delicious-looking food. I'm hoping that the combination of "vacation" and needing to keep up energy for major surgery will provide me with the necessary permission structure to enjoy with little reservation.
  3. Books! I am most definitely in need of new books. I expect to be finished with this copy of Whipping Girl before we leave and would like to have something other than scrolling to pass some of the rest time.
  4. Art! We haven't yet decided on a specific gallery to visit, art queers are going to art queer, and we never visit a gallery and leave without something interesting to discuss about what we had just seen!
