After nearly three weeks inside the apartment (save for one very uncomfortable and regretted excursion my second day back), I got outside yesterday! It wasn't for long: just a block away to pick up a book I ordered at my favourite book store, prescriptions I had filled, and to retrieve the mail. All-in-all, I might have been gone for 20 minutes.

After almost three weeks, this girl got herself outside! No separate camera though: just picked up a book, prescriptions, and checked the mail.

I'm still slow, it still hurts a little, but it was promising! A lovely day for it too! ☀️

Still, it felt like a complete victory and was a way to really feel that I'm well and truly healing. After the shame and embarrassment of the bed sores, it was very welcome! July 7, 2026
