Zap-Free's (Not) The Way To Be

In the end, I chickened out and didn't go to electro yesterday. While the discomfort with there being hair where there ought not to be is trending in the wrong direction, as the hour I had to leave drew near, all I could imagine feeling was uncomfortable bumps on the roads, uncomfortably sitting in the reception area, and uncomfortably laying down on the table, all while dealing with mounting fears that I am doing more damage to delicate healing.

Next week!

(Please? 🥺)

Quality Time With Quality Literature

Healing time has meant oodles of reading time for me.

While I love reading, normally, I read for 30-60 in bed before we sleep. Depending on mood, energy, and book length, this usually means somewhere between two and four books per month. Now? Since June 17th, I have read eleven books, and will be beginning a twelfth today.

I wouldn't get into any sort of argument with anybody over it, but my personal definition of "reading" is visual (or tactile, if braille). Listening to an audiobook isn't exactly reading to me. It is being told a story.

At the same time, my gosh, would I just love a little more variety to my healing time! Until then, my next book is A Sense of Occasion by Brodie Crellin
